PRESS: NPR DISCUSSES HOW SB1718 IS PUSHING INDIGENOUS FAMILIES TO FLEE - AGAIN.

Updated: Jun 20, 2023

NPR sat down with Clìnica Maya's Director to discuss how SB1718 is forcing immigrant families to once again flee their homes out of fear of persecution. As human rights organizations continue to advocate against this unconstitutional bill, it is equally important for medical institutions to address misinformation, and counter apprehensions felt by immigrant communities in accessing healthcare at hospitals – "Yes, you still can go to a hospital. You, you can still get emergency care. Yes, you're still going to have access to medicine".
