Navigation Services

The Center provides translation, social services, and interpretation services to all Guatemalan Maya families on a walk in basis.  Many of the families coming to the Center speak only one of the 21 Maya languages; therefore interpretation is vital for understanding much of the communications they receive.  Several staff members at the Center speak at least one of the Maya languages, and therefore they are a great asset to the community.  Additional services to the community includes literacy classes in English and Spanish, and Legal assistance in matters related to immigration and residency.
